About North Goods
Why do some things last decades while their replacements don't survive a year?
01 — Our story
A small team in Portland, Oregon.
North Goods started in a garage in Northwest Portland, with a stubborn cast iron skillet and a complaint we kept hearing from friends: “nothing is made to last anymore.”
We were tired of replacing the same pans, towels and sheets every year, so we started sourcing the versions that outlast trends — and selling them at prices that made sense for everyday homes.
Today we ship to all 50 states from our Portland warehouse, with a catalog of 18 products. That number is deliberate. Every item earns its place by surviving six months of testing in real homes before we list it.

02 — How we choose products
Four rules, no exceptions.
Live testing
Every candidate product goes into the kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms of our test households for six months. If it fails, it never reaches the catalog.
Materials first
We publish exactly what things are made of — the flax in our linen, the cotton in our towels, the steel in our pans. No vague “premium materials.”
Repairable by design
Where parts can wear, we stock the parts. A loose handle shouldn't retire a whole pan.
Fair pricing
We buy direct from the same workshops that supply big-brand catalogs, without the big-brand markup.
03 — What we promise
Plain terms.
Orders leave our warehouse within 24 hours on business days. Shipping is free over $75. If something isn't right, you have 30 days to return it for a full refund, with a free return label — and a real person answers your email, usually within one business day.
